Byte Converter

Byte Converter is a lightweight and portable piece of software that enables you to convert numerical values between multiple units, whether they are decimal (from Bits to Yotta Bytes) or binary (from Bits to Yobi Bytes). It is very simple to work with it, and it especially comes in handy to students in Computer Science.
As installation is not a prerequisite, you can simply drop the executable file anywhere on the hard drive and run it immediately. There is also the possibility of moving Byte Converter to a USB flash disk or similar removable device, so you can run it on any workstation without prior installers.
It's important to take into account that the Windows Registry section does not get entry updates, and leftovers are not kept on the hard disk after removing the tool.
The app is packed in a standard GUI with a regular layout, where you can select the conversion type, choose the input unit, and enter a value in the dedicated box to get results instantly.
Byte Converter shows a button that gives you direct access to Windows Calculator but not for copying results to the Clipboard, printing them, or saving them to file for further use. To do so, you have to copy each resulted value to the Clipboard using the global Copy function, available through the context-menu or well-known hotkey.
The program uses a pretty low quantity of CPU and RAM, works smoothly and generates accurate results. We have not encountered any issues in our tests, as it didn't hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. Thanks to its intuitive layout and overall simplicity, users can easily learn how to work with Byte Converter.
