Calculator Description
Math is among the difficult subjects in school, but it’s also behind the well-functioning of modern technology, and accurate construction. There are an abundance of branches and modes to solve an operation, which can take some time of no tools are used. Luckily, programs like Calculator help solve almost anything you can come up with.
Can be used on the go
First of all, you need to make sure that Java Runtime Environment is installed on your computer, because it doesn’t function otherwise. On the other hand, the application can be used from a USB flash drive, because no installation is required. No traces are left on the computer you use it on, making no changes to system registry entries.
Note, however, that the application uses a different approach on math expression writing and solving, and you don’t encounter any numerical buttons. The insert style is done by manually writing all expressions in the dedicated field. This doesn’t make accommodation more difficult, given you’re familiar with regular and complex expressions.
Define advanced functions
Most of the space is the tape, where all functions you write and solve get stored. Expressions and results are clearly delimited by different colors, with the possibility to change display of results to decimal, hexadecimal, octal, and binary. Changing the input mode only applies to the new expressions you write, and doesn’t modify existing results.
Answers are stored in a side panel. Apart from results, the application can also save functions, but these first need to be defined. The display mode menu also lets you change real number handling, rational, and complex numbers. In order to save your work, you need to manually copy results from the tape, because there’s no save function.
To sum it up
Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Calculator is a pretty powerful application you can use to solve basic and complex expressions. Don’t be fooled by the text input method, because the application accepts and recognizes regular input and operators, and can even define and save functions.
