Calendar is a simple utility that enables you to organize your daily events, create reminders and view a graphical representation of your scheduled activities.

Create events

When adding a new event, the application allows you to enter various parameters. You can give each event a unique name, description, location, as well as place it in a custom category. Then, you can specify its start and end times or designate it as an all day activity.
You can also change event recurrence, to have them take place daily, on certain days of the week, monthly or yearly.
Additionally, Calendar allows you to add e-mail or pop-up reminders and specify how often they should be triggered.

Organize events into categories

The application enables you to create multiple event categories and assign each of them a different color. This allows you to easily distinguish various types of events when viewing them on the built-in calendar.
You can choose to hide certain categories, which is useful if you need to, for example, view only work-related or personal events.
The program features a tabbed interface, allowing you to view a daily, weekly or monthly calendar, as well as a summary of all the events you have created.

High resource usage

It is worth noting that, despite the program's relative simplicity, it uses large amount of system resources, certainly more that would be expected from a calendar application.

Easy to lose added data

Calendar requires you to create a local account to be launched, but it only saves changes made to your personal schedule if you log out before closing the application.
As it does not warn you that your data is not saved upon shutdown, it can be very easy to lose any events created during a particular session.
All in all, this is a simple calendar application that enables you to organize events and create reminders, to help you manage your daily activities. It features a simplistic interface, but uses more system resources than would be expected from a program of its complexity.
