Calendar.gadget Description
Calendar.gadget is a lightweight widget built specifically for helping users enhance their desktop functionality by placing a calendar right on their screen.
This widget displays the month and highlights the current day with a preset color.
From the “Options†menu you are allowed to specify the number of months to be displayed on your screen by entering the row and column numbers for the docked and undocked position.
Calendar.gadget was designed with an overall simplicity in mind, so it doesn’t offer support for many dedicated parameters, which could be good news only for rookies who don’t want to spend a lot of time customizing the layout of the gadget.
However, more experienced users may find it pretty inconvenient to work with a tool that doesn’t offer support for advanced functions, as you are not allowed to embed notes, set up reminders, and customize the layout of the calendar, just to name a few suggestions.
Additional options give users the possibility to select the size of the gadget (small or large), choose the opacity level, as well as make the tool remain on top of other utilities. Plus, you are allowed to move the widget to any area of the screen.
During our testing we have noticed that Calendar.gadget accomplishes a task very quickly and without errors throughout the entire process. As it would be expected from such a small utility, it remains light on the system resources, so it doesn’t hamper computer performance, nor interfere with other programs’ functionality.
To sum things up, Calendar.gadget seems to be the right choice in case you are looking for a simple-to-use gadget that comes bundled with limited features for helping you place a calendar on your screen.
