CG Text2Html

CG Text2Html is a straightforward piece of software you can use to generate HTML webpages from plain text documents.
It gives you the possibility to personalize the background and text color, along with the font size. The tool is aimed at users with no experience in webdesign who are interested in performing basic HTML conversions.

Portable utility with a simple interface

This is a portable product, so there is no installation file available. Instead, you can copy the downloaded files to a preferred directory on the HDD or to a USB flash drive to seamlessly launch it on any PC. It doesn't create new files or folders, insert new entries into the system registry, or need DLLs to work. However, it cannot remember your settings on exit.
As far as the GUI goes, CG Text2Html opts for a small window with a simple design and layout, where you can simply drop files or folders containing more TXT documents from Windows Explorer instead of having to resort to a built-in file browser. Their full paths are listed in this panel.

Set and preview the colors and font size

The background and text colors can be selected from predefined options in two dropdown menus, as the color palette isn't integrated. These include aqua, black, blue, gray, green, lime, maroon, navy, olive, silver, teal, and yellow. The font size can be similarly picked.
Another aspect worth noting is that the software application displays sample text with the options applied to give you a better idea of how the results shall look like.

Create batches of HTML files with one click

Once you have configured all settings, you can produce the new HTML files with the click of a button. The tool pops up a message to let you know the task is over and automatically places the new files in the same directory as the source items, preserving the original file names. These options cannot be modified. Apart from the fact that you can prevent the utility from staying on top of other windows, there are no other aspects.
All in all, CG Text2Html may not have rich options, but it delivers a speedy solution for creating simple HTML files from plain text documents.
