CheckDisk Portable

This is the portable edition of CheckDisk - a lightweight application that provides a graphical interface for chkdsk.exe, allowing users to seamlessly work with this tool and also set up automatic tasks.
As installation is not a requirement, you can just drop all files anywhere on the hard disk and run the executable immediately.
There is also the possibility of moving CheckDisk to a USB flash drive or similar storage unit, from where you can run it on any computer with minimum effort.
What's important to know is that no items are added to the Windows Registry or left behind on the hard drive after removing the tool.
The interface of the tool is plain and simple to work with. You can select a drive and scan method (e.g. scan only, scan and fix), along with the rescan method (e.g. rescan until CheckDisk returns no errors).
It is also possible to scan additional partitions (up to four more), make the program automatically scan the selected items at the next Windows startup or power off the computer when the task is done, as well as save the log file manually or automatically (to the TXT format). From the Options menu you can enable debugging mode.
CheckDisk runs on a minimum quantity of CPU and system memory, thus it doesn't affect the computer's overall performance or user activity. No error dialogs have been shown in our tests, and the utility did not hang or crash. All in all, CheckDisk provides a straightforward GUI to the chkdsk.exe tool.
