ChemEdit Description

ChemEdit is a lightweight and intuitive application designed with a single goal in mind: to display the graphical representations for different chemical formulas. This tool comes in handy for all users who are studying chemistry and need to understand the relationship between atoms in chemical compounds.
Since this is a portable program, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry. You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to visualize chemical formulas on the fly.
It sports a clean and straightforward layout that displays the generated formulas directly in the primary panel. Basically, it’s extremely easy to work with this tool, as you only need to type the chemical formula in the dedicated dialog and the application automatically displays its graphical representation.
ChemEdit gives users the possibility to pick the zoom level and rotation angle pretty easily, thanks to its built-in sliders. For a better focus on your work, you can also switch to the full screen mode.
Another important feature worth mentioning enables users to copy the representations to the Clipboard, which can be pasted into third-party software applications with image viewing support.
On the downside, it doesn’t come packed with preset formulas to choose from, nor allow users to upload them from a file. Since you cannot paste the formulas from other editors, you have to manually insert them each time you want to visualize them.
All in all, ChemEdit offers a user-friendly environment and some dedicated parameters for helping users view the graphical representations of chemical formulas. It doesn’t slow down the system performance, and it is suitable for beginners and professionals alike.
