Claudio

Claudio is a sophisticated and user-friendly application that offers a complete method to play audio files and record important meetings or your voice. It also features the import and export buttons, along with the ability to convert files to different types (WAV, MP3, OGG, EXE).

Add and play songs, and record music

It's wrapped in a self-explanatory and minimalistic interface that comes with two separate panels, one is the player, from where you can access the sound effects and playback controls while the second, is the file list of all the inserted songs.  To add tracks to the playlist, all you have to do is browse their location and are automatically loaded. Claudio lets you play, pause, stop, skip to the next and previous song, as well as record, using the built-in or connected microphone as default element.
When the app is started, a window displays based on different criteria, the maximum time for registration. The time allocated depends on the available free space on the desired hard drive. For NTFS systems, there is no limit on how much you can record, however for FAT32 and FAT the capacity varies. The recording parameters are available for modification from the start and includes sample rate (11,22,32,192 kHz), 8,16-bit samples, mono or stereo sound quality.

Activate the transcription mode and test the sound effects

For the export feature, the tool can convert tracks to executables, which contain a small player, and the recorded file. When opened, it automatically starts playing. It's possible to apply playback effects, like echo, equalizer, flanger and pitch to the mixed tracks, and split them into smaller parts, by specifying the start and time for each piece.
The window can be minimized to the systray while it plays so that it won't bother you. Plus, you can access the transcription mode, which enables the playback to run for a specific time, then it pauses automatically, and when it reaches the end, it rewinds so that it can start a new cycle.
