Clear Clock Description
Clear Clock is a tiny gadget that shows you the current time and date on your desktop, in digital mode. It is easy to install and customize, even by inexperienced users.
The interface of the application is based on a small frame where time is shown in the 12-hour clock format; by default, the text is written in white.
By opening the right-click menu, you can access the settings screen where you can make a few adjustments. Therefore, you can hide the date, as well as modify the date format and text color (white, inverted, blue, green, orange, pink, red, or yellow).
Thanks to the default options provided by the operating system, you can move the frame to any spot on the screen by using the mouse cursor, make it stay on top of other windows, as well as adjust its opacity level by selecting a preset value between 20% and 100%.
The small gadget does not put a strain on the computer's resources, as it runs on a very low amount of CPU and system memory. It is very responsive to commands and didn't cause us any issues during our evaluation, such as freezing, crashing or popping up error dialogs.
On the downside, Clear Clock does not come with interesting features. For example, you cannot set up an alarm, switch to a different time zone, or change the time format to the 24-hour clock mode. But it is a nice alternative to the default clock provided by Windows. No recent updates have been made.
