Clipboard Manager is an office tool that keeps track of your Clipboard history and enables you to reuse copied content as well as to manage clips with ease. It support keyboard shortcuts and plugins.

Simple setup with systray integration

The installer takes minimal time and effort, and the only notable aspect is that it requires .NET Framework, since it was developed using this platform.
Once launched, the application creates an icon in the systray to provide quick access to its options via the right-click menu, and it automatically starts recording Clipboard history.

Records copied text, URLs, files, folders, and images

The entry list is visible by default, represented by a semi-transparent frame that shows each clip you copy, whether we're talking about simple text, URLs, files, folders, or images.
You can check out the number of items and text characters, view the contents of a specified clip and make it active, send an item to the plugins or to the Clipboard as text, edit images, as well as remove any item from the entry list.

Manage plugins, customize the UI, and remap hotkeys

The default plugins are dedicated to bitmap images, text and FileDrop. As far as program settings are concerned, you can indicate new plugin directories, ask the app to run at every Windows startup until further notice, disable the entry list window from staying on top of other processes, adjust the window's transparency, set its color or disable it, as well as save the window position and size.
The hotkeys can be remapped for toggling the entry list's display, making a selection up and down, and sending an existing clip to the Clipboard. The three previously mentioned plugins have some configuration settings too. For instance, the text plugin is capable of adding emails and URLs to the entry list, as well as of opening them in the default email client and web browser, respectively.

Evaluation and conclusion

CPU and RAM usage was minimal in our tests. However, Clipboard Manager failed in its attempt to identify copied images, viewing them as files instead. Therefore, we couldn't edit them. We must also take into account that the app hasn't been updated for a long time and it likely has compatibility issues with newer Windows models.
