Clock Description
The desktop isn’t just the place to store a bunch of files and folders, or to keep a pretty wallpaper, which can cycle through galleries every now and then. Some time ago, gadget systems were introduced, bringing forth a variety of useful, or fun objects to place on your desktop. Clock is one of them, and can provide the system time without having to look at the taskbar every time.
Note that this is not a stand-alone product, and needs to be used through the Yahoo! Widget Engine. Deployment takes little time, and effort, with the gadget appearing on the desktop as soon as installation terms are accepted.
The gadget benefits from all default settings which Yahoo! Widget Engine enforces on every of its items. As such, it can be freely moved around the desktop into a more suitable position, have window layer priority set to normal, top-most, or below everything else, ignore the mouse, prevent dragging, or opacity level set to a value between 20% and 100%.
Time is grabbed from the active system, meaning that whatever the tray clock shows can be viewed in the desktop gadget. Although there’s only the default skin, it can blend in most desktop configurations, with real-time updating indicators for seconds, minutes, and hours.
