Colour Simulations Description

Colour Simulations is a lightweight piece of software that provides you with a simple means to change the background colors of your desktop so that they are suitable for several vision deficiencies.

Permits you to modify the color effects and space window

The setup is quick, straightforward and does not require any special attention from your part. Upon launch, you are welcomed by two windows, one that is the main app window and another that provides you with useful tips on how to use the program. You should keep in mind that you can turn the help section on and off by hitting the F1 key.
As indicated in the Help section, you can find a plethora of additional features from the context menu. Consequentially, you can switch between Deutan and Protan deficiencies, swap red with blue, inverse transform or Daltonize the colors from the context menu or by hitting the associated keys. On a side note, while the main window is rather small, you can enlarge it as much as you can by dragging on its edges.

Allows you to perform simulations for color deficiencies

In the eventuality that you are setting up a computer for users who suffer from Daltonism or other vision deficiencies, then you should know that the app enables you to create simulations. Therefore, there is a higher chance that you can configure the program accordingly.
You will be happy to learn that the color modifications are not standard and you can alter the settings so that they correspond to the severity of the vision deficiency. In addition, you can use the various available tools – RGB Cube, Chromaticity diagram or the Photoreceptor response curves – to examine the modifications made more minutely.

A tool for users with various color vision deficiencies

Regardless of whether you are setting up a computer for someone who is suffering from Daltonism or you want to make sure you perceive the correct hues and colors on the applications or games you installed on your computer, Colour Simulations can lend you a hand.
