You will need to specify the clues for solving the puzzle, they're divided into two categories, clues across and down. It comes with a separate section in which you can use a word matcher and set a difficulty level for your crossword.

When you're done, you can save the puzzle to your computer or export it in a HTML file. It would have been nice if it allowed you to print crossword puzzles or to check certain words in a dictionary.
