CryptNGZip Description
The proper functionality of programs and web pages still relies on programming, and there are various environments to work with and use. Most functions and libraries come inside special archives so they're all in a lightweight, comfortable package. In this regard, CryptNGZip helps you easily build GZip archives for your .NET development tasks.
Lightweight and easy to use
One of the main advantages is that you don't have to go through a setup process to make it work. This ensures a great deal of flexibility, and lets you carry it around on a thumb drive. Don't worry about the health status of the target PC, because registry entries are not affected, but .NET Framework is required for proper functionality.
The main window holds all necessary functions to bundle everything in a tight, functional archive, even an encrypted one. Additionally, the header is packed with helpful details to let you know what the application is all about.
Compress or encrypt project files
A file needs to be selected first so that the operation is successful. There's a browse dialog in this regard. A few preset types can be filtered, such as TXT, BIN, or MDB, but you're free to use anything you need in your developments. On the bright side of things, the original file remains intact, and the archive is created in the work folder.
There are a couple of archive types which can be created, such as a compressed GZip file, as well as an encrypted archive. Whereas the first type only requires the input file, the second asks for more options to keep your files secure.
The application relies on the AES algorithm to perform encryption, with the possibility to have content compressed first. It's recommended to use a solid password, and to remember it to be able to use content in your work. Salt for encryption also needs to be provided, which can be custom, or randomized through a built-in generator.
To sum it up
Taking everything into consideration, we can say that CryptNGZip can help you easily compress and encrypt work files in a GZip archive to use in your .NET Development projects. It can be used on the go, while the intuitive design minimizes your effort to a minimum.
