csSimple Screen Capture 2012 Description
The csSimple Screen Capture 2012 - Easy Edition utility is a very simple, easy to use program that gives you the ability to capture the visual content on your computer screen and save as image/picture files. The popular image formats like .jpg and .png are supported. You have available 3 main capturing modes. The first snagging feature is the ability to target a specific window or program. You simply click and hold down on the target icon while dragging to the window using your mouse. Then release the mouse button once your over your target. You will then have two sub-options. One option will try to capture that exact item(child window). While the other option is to shoot the parent, or owner of the item you targeted. (If it has a parent or owner). A second feature is taking snapshots of your entire desktop screen. In other words, everything you see on your screen, it will try to capture and allow you to save as an image file. You likewise have a few sub-options associated with that method. One option is whether or not you want this program to be in the screenshot. Another is the option of including the mouse cursor/pointer in the screenshot or to hide it. If you do want the mouse cursor pointer included, you can invert the color to help you see it better. A final snagging feature is the ability to use your mouse to select or draw/fill an outline of a specific area on the screen and save the selected portion to an image file. You simply hold down the left-click button, and move the mouse around the area you want to capture and press the Enter/Return key on your keyboard to view and save the snapshot. You also have a couple options to help enhance the visibility of drawing your selection. You can set whether to draw a box-outline or a box-fill for your screen selection. You can also decide the color to use when you draw your selection. (Do to the design of the selection feature, you may have to experiment with different colors. The color you select will will not be displayed as that exact color because of the programs transparent feature for custom selection). When its all said and done its obvious my program isnt the best out there or the most feature-rich. But it is completely free, easy to use, no nagging, no artificial limitations, and will give you the basic features needed for screen capturing. Go ahead and give this program a try! Then look for a new version with more avanced features in the future!
