Curvius

The tools that make up Curvius operate on the selected ( or partially selected ) art to produce new artwork. Partial selections refer to the process of selecting only part of a path using the Direct Selection Tool.
The Curvius version of Roughen is an alternative to Illustrators native Roughen tool with the advantages that it is reproducible, has identical effects on coincident paths, works on partially selected art and has different modes of operation.The crenellate filter in Curvius "adds" an open path to the existing path in a repetitive way. For example using a square crenellation on a circle results in a gear.A variety of pre-computed open paths are supplied : in addition the user may select an existing unclosed path as a crenellation. 
The roulette filter included with Curvius generates "spirograph" type art.Other filters (Simplify, Straighten, Smooth & Reverse path).
