Database Benchmarking is a software utility which provides users with a simple means of, as the names hints at, examine and evaluate multiple databases.
The upper hand of a portable app
The installation process can be bypassed altogether, as this is a portable program. As a consequence, unlike installers, it is not going to add new items to the Windows registry or hard drive without your approval, and it is not going to leave any kind of traces behind after its removal from the disk.
Another important aspect you should keep in mind is that you can run Database Benchmarking on any PC you come in contact with on the fly, by simply moving the program files to a USB thumb drive or other similar removable storage unit.
User-friendly GUI
The interface you are met with presents quite a well-organized and minimal design, as it consists of a few buttons, a folder structure and a few tabs, so that you can easily access all available data. Although Help contents are not integrated, it becomes clear that all types of users can find their way around it with ease, including those with little or no previous experience with computers.
Databases incorporated
This software application comes bundled with support for a variety of databases, including STSdb, Oracle Berkeley DB, MongoDB, Perst, MySQL, SQLite, Access, Firebird, LevelDB, VelocityDB and HamsterDB. They are displayed in the main window as a folder structure, so that you can find them easier.

It is possible to select any number of databases and analyze their performance, so that you can easily compare them. The main coordinates to process, speed, time and size are going to be displayed in the main window as bar charts, while you can also view graphical representations of the average and current write speed, as well as the primary and secondary read one.
