Dead Disk Doctor Description
Dead Disk Doctor is a powerful Windows application developed to recover files from scratched or damaged discs, offering a very friendly approach to target all types of users.
There’s one very important thing that deserves to be praised after launching the program: its interface and the way it interacts with users.
Dead Disk Doctor relies on a simple wizard that groups only a few steps, so users have nothing else to do than to follow these instructions to successfully recover their files.
First of all, Dead Disk Doctor scans the damaged media and lets users select the files or folders to be recovered. It supports removable devices, fixed drives or discs, be they CDs or DVDs.
Once you select the output folder, you’re ready to start the copying process. Dead Disk Doctor shows the read percentage of each file, lost bytes, speed and block size, as well as a total progress bar to keep you up to date with the overall progress of the recovery.
Dead Disk Doctor doesn’t affect system performance, but it’s not too effective either, as it fails to copy files from severely damaged media. On the other hand, it completes the process in no time and works okay on all Windows versions.
Overall, Dead Disk Doctor deserves a chance, mostly because it’s so easy to use. Unfortunately, it’s not the most effective piece of software on the market and may disappoint users with the limited amount of options.
