DECAdry Express Publishing

DECAdry Express Publishing is an Office tool designed specifically for helping you create all kinds of documents, such as announcements, banners, brochures, bulletins, calendars, business cards, greeting cards, labels, invitations or other types of projects that may include text and image combinations.

User interface

You are welcomed by a minimalist panel that gives you the possibility to select the type of project that you want to generate, namely create a blank document, choose between several preset paper layouts (e.g. filling cards, photos, postcards, labels, business cards, CD/DVD, cards folded in two, postcards), start with a preset model, or open an existing document and edit it (e.g. DPS, DP2, DP3, DP4, BAK, TMP).
Everything looks highly intuitive up to this point. The working environment where you can edit and process your documents looks a bit crowded and overwhelming at a first glance. You can add hide some of the elements from the GUI but this won’t help you much when it comes to decoding the function of each dedicated parameter.
You can appeal to the help manual and rely on the tooltips for finding out more about the program’s capabilities.

Editing features

DECAdry Express Publishing gives you the possibility to cut, copy, paste, delete or clone the selected object, undo or redo your actions, insert text within a custom-shaped box, embed graphic text, as well as make use of several drawing tools in order to define freehand designs and add lines, polylines, rectangles, squares, circles and ellipses.
In addition, you may personalize your documents by including custom pictures (e.g. BMP, PNG, EMF, JPG) from your computer or scanned files, tables, symbols, OLE objects, barcodes, speech balloons, and calendars.
You can preview the document in full screen mode, insert a background photo, add multiple pages within a document, remove or rename pages, lock or split pages, and activate the spell checking feature.

Exporting options and page format adjustments

DECAdry Express Publishing allows you to print or export the generated document to PDF, BMP, GIF, PNG, PSD, RAS, TGA, TIFF, WMF or other image format.
The page format can be altered in terms of size (you may choose between several preset values or manually input custom ones), orientation (portrait or landscape), rotation angle, as well as margin alignment.

Bottom line

There’s no doubt that DECAdry Express Publishing integrates a powerful suite of editing features for helping you create and personalize different types of documents. On the downside, its dedicated parameters are not highly intuitive so you may need extra time in order to get used to working with the tool.
