Delboot Description

Delboot is a very simple program developed to remove locked files that cannot be deleted by the standard Windows tool.
You don’t have to be a professional user to figure out the purpose of each feature and it’s basically enough to simply add some files to the process queue and hit the “Process” button.
A help manual does exist, but it’s more aimed at experienced users who want more information on the two available file removal methods.
There’s a secure and a standard mode at your disposal, each boasting exactly the same options, but requiring more time to complete. The secure system for example initially generates a random name for the file to be removed and moves it to the temporary files folder before eventually deleting it completely.
One of the issues with Delboot is that it requires a computer reboot to successfully complete a removal task, which isn’t quite good news since some other similar programs are able to remove locked files without a restart.
On the good side, it comes with shell integration, which means that it’s basically enough to select the files you want to remove, right-click them and hit the dedicated option to send all items to Delboot.
The removal process doesn’t slow down the system at all and you shouldn’t notice significant boot time increases. Delboot works smoothly on all Windows versions, without the need for administrator privileges on Windows 7 workstations
So, as a conclusion, it clearly does what it says, although there are things to be improved in this app. It shouldn’t ask for a reboot unless it’s absolutely needed and more information on the removal methods should be presented right in the main window.
