DELL Drivers Update Utility Description

DELL Drivers Update Utility is a tool that promises to detect outdated drivers on DELL systems and download the latest ones.
It includes an intuitive graphical interface and simple-to-use options, whether you are experienced with this type of products or not.
The application is able to identify drivers concerning the sound card, webcam, network adapters, USB, router, printer, wireless, Windows 7, chipset, monitor, video card, bluetooth, Windows XP, AC97, motherboard, FireWire, Windows Vista, and DVD.
A scanning procedure does not take a long time to finish, and you can view the new version found by the tool for each driver. The unregistered edition does not permit downloading and updating, though.
As for program settings, you can include hidden devices in the driver scan and set DELL Drivers Update Utility to automatically run at system startup. There are no other usable options available for the demo.
The application quickly finishes a scan job and uses low-to-moderate RAM in idle state. No error dialogs were shown in our tests, and the app did not hang or crash.
Although we weren't able to fully evaluate DELL Drivers Update Utility's capabilities due to demo restrictions, we have noticed the app identifies even newest drives as outdated. It does not show the version of the currently installed ones in the scan results, but a simple checkup in Device Manager sheds light on the matter. Driver Booster does a better job and is free.
