DeskLock

DeskLock is a compact and portable utility whose purpose is to prevent users from arranging the icons on your desktop. But it sports other useful functions as well.
As installation is not a prerequisite, you can simply save the EXE file to any location on the hard disk and run it directly.
There is also the alternative of moving DeskLock to a USB flash drive or similar storage unit, so you can run it on any computer with minimum effort.
At initialization the program creates an icon in the system tray area. Enabling or disabling its status is done by double-clicking this icon.
Meanwhile, the app's configuration can be made by bringing up the Settings panel from the context menu. Aside from locking the icons on the desktop, DeskLock is capable of disabling the right mouse button and showing classes.
Furthermore, you can make the app start disabled and set up a hotkey for disabling it, as well as specify which classes to lock, as long as they have the Class1, Class2 or Class3 format.
DeskLock barely uses CPU and system memory, thus it doesn't affect the computer's performance. It has a good response time and works well, without making Windows hang, crash or show error notifications. Thanks to its intuitive layout and overall simplicity, DeskLock can be handled by all types of users, regardless of their skill level.
