Desktop FLV Player

Desktop FLV Player is a lightweight and straightforward application that allows you to play Flash videos (FLV). It can be easily handled, even by less experienced individuals.
The interface of the program is simplistic and uncomplicated. You can import a video clip by using only the file browser, since the 'drag and drop' method is not supported. Unfortunately, you cannot import multiple items to create a playlist.
So, Desktop FLV Player allows you to use some basic video player functions, such as pause and stop, navigate back and forth within the clip and go backward or forward several frames at a time.
Additionally, you can configure Adobe Flash Player settings when it comes to the display, privacy, local storage, microphone and camera, as well as view video properties (size, frames per second, audio and video codec).
The simplistic tool runs on a low-to-moderate amount of CPU and system memory and has a good response time. We have not encountered any issues during our tests; Desktop FLV Player did not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs.
On the downside, Desktop FLV Player comes with limited features. For example, you cannot create a playlist or switch to full screen mode, let alone make image adjustments (e.g. brightness, contrast) or set the app to minimize to the system tray. No recent updates have been made. Nevertheless, Desktop FLV Player delivers a quick solution for playing Flash video files and can be easily worked with, thanks to its intuitive layout.
