Desktop Zoom is an easy-to-use software utility that enables you to use a magnification tool on the desktop. It includes a bunch of useful options for all types of users, regardless of their skill level.
Setting up the program takes little time and does not need special attention from the user.
At initialization, Desktop Zoom creates an icon in the system tray area and displays a rectangular magnifier on the screen. You can drag it with the mouse cursor to enhance any part of it.
If you switch to another window, the magnifier preserves the previous image. In other words, you can use this application to easily write down an important idea or to take notes without opening a secondary application.
As far as customization options are concerned, you can increase the zoom level, toggle between horizontal and vertical mirror view, apply a smoothen effect, invert colors, as well as select color filters.
Furthermore, you can fix or lock the window size, copy the content to the Clipboard or refresh it, enable the magnifier to follow the mouse, as well as disable it from staying on top of other frames.
Desktop Zoom offers support for keyboard shortcut and uses low-to-moderate RAM and low CPU. We have not come across any issues in our testing, since the program did not hang, crash or pop up error dialogs.
