Diffractor

Diffractor is a lightweight application built specifically for helping you edit images and organize your media files in a clean working environment.
It sports a straightforward layout that offers quick access to the files and folders stored in your computer, so you can easily select the ones to process.
Diffractor gives you the possibility to view a short summary with the total number of photos, videos, songs, podcasts, and other items for the selected folder or partition.
What’s more, you can view the images sorted by year and geotagged data, play or stop the current audio files, switch to a full screen mode for a better focus on your work, perform basic editing operations (rename, delete, copy, paste), and play video files.
The program enables you to edit metadata in terms of title, copyright, description, and comment, rate the items, set the selected image as your wallpaper, open files with an external tool, remove tags, and convert photos to JPG file format and videos to MP4 file format.
When it comes to image editing operations, you are allowed to rotate the pictures to different angles, crop them, apply sharpening and denoising options, reset the changes, adjust the levels of brightness, contrast, saturation, vibrance, and others, as well as save the edit photo to JPG, PNG, TIF, or GIF file format.
During our testing we have noticed that Diffractor carries out a task quickly, provides very good image quality, and no errors showed up throughout the entire process. It is quite friendly with system resources, so the overall performance of the computer is not hampered.
All in all, Diffractor offers a handy set of editing tools and file management options, and is suitable for all types of users, regardless of their experience level.
