DigitAlarmClock Description
DigitAlarmClock is an application you can use to schedule an alarm clock at a specific date and time. It's capable of playing audio tracks, and displaying personalized messages. The tool features many practical options that are intuitive enough to be tackled by anyone.
Installer and interface
The setup procedure is simple and the only notable aspect is that the utility offers to autorun at every Windows startup. This option can be disabled and modified from the settings panel after firing up DigitAlarmClock.
By the look of the interface, it doesn't seem to have rich features. However, it has a lot of configurable alarm settings under its hood.
Sort multiple recurrent alarms with snooze
It's possible to put together and manage a bin with multiple alarms after editing the alarm headers and picking the date and time (12-hour format) of each event. Specifying a snooze time (minutes) is optional. Recurrent tasks can be set for a daily, weekly, or monthly by day basis, as well as for any number of days until 365.
Play media or write messages
Furthermore, you can allow the application to change the alarms and delete the old ones automatically. You can find an MP3 audio track to play using the file browser, indicate the preferred media player (Windows Media Player, Winamp, Real One, QuickTime, custom), choose another media type (e.g. CD, DVD), or write a message. Alarms can be tested, while the UI skin can be modified.
Evaluation and conclusion
The tool hasn't received updates for a pretty long time and may seem rudimentary before testing it. Help documentation is available. We haven't experienced any compatibility issues on Windows 7 but we couldn't get it to run on Windows 8 or 10.
In conclusion, if you're not seeking a graphically impressive alarm clock and prefer focusing on functionality instead, DigitAlarmClock might meet your requirements, provided that you're not running the latest Windows.
