Disk Geometry Description

Disk Geometry is an easy-to-use application that gives you the possibility to analyze the disk geometries of your physical disks. It comes packed with a basic set of options that can be quickly figured out, and it's dedicated to users who are curious enough to find out what makes their computers tick.

Simple interface for analyzing disk sectors

The tool is available in both a graphical and command-line interface. Any of the two modes can be excluded from installation.
The GUI is user-friendly, represented by a single window with a simple design and layout, giving you an overview of all options available. The entire disk analysis process can be carried out in three steps.

Scan the disk and copy results

Firstly, it's necessary to specify the disk numbers you want to investigate, which should be zero-based and separated by spaces. Secondly, you can instruct the tool to obtain the disk geometries with the click of a button, after which you can copy the results to the Clipboard and paste them into a text editor for inspection. There is no built-in viewer provided by this piece of software.
There are multiple command-line arguments integrated for the console version of Disk Geometry, and they can be found out with the -help switch.

Evaluation and conclusion

The software utility didn't put a strain on the overall performance of the workstation in our tests, utilizing a low amount of CPU and RAM. It left a small footprint on system resources and carried you analysis tasks quickly.
Unfortunately, Disk Geometry hasn't been updated for a long time, and this is probably why we experienced compatibility issues with the latest edition of Windows in our tests. However, it still runs fine on older versions. Thanks to its intuitive options, this piece of software can be easily handled by those looking to examine disk sector information.
