DivXG400

DivXG400 is a handy application designed to help you configure the movie playback when using the DivX codec. The program allows you to easily access the codec settings in order to adjust the video processing parameters.
Some of the video clips downloaded from the Internet or from other sources need to be adjusted when they are played with you favorite player. If you do not want to edit the file or convert it to another format, you can try to adjust the codec settings in order to flip the image or apply other minor changes.
The DivX codec allows you to trim a part of the video and enhance the image by processing the video content before displaying it in your player. However, the codec parameters might be hard to understand or access by some users.
The purpose of the DivXG400 application is to provide you with a simple interface that can access the parameters in the same window. It includes three tabs that allow you to fine tune the image, the subtitles and the on-screen display.
The Picture tab enables you to flip the image, to cut a part of the video frame and to adjust the image format between 4:3 and 16:9. You can also enable the extended overlay and compensate the overscan by specifying the desired percentage.
You can automatically load the subtitles from a specified folder and select the preferred language from the Subtitles tab. The subtitle position and font type or dimension can be configured separately in order to ensure maximum visibility.
While watching the movie you can check the elapsed or playing time by enabling the OSD. The overlay can be configured by changing the font style and position.
Unfortunately, this tool is not actively maintained and most of its features can be easily accessed from the player. Also, it might not be compatible with the latest version of the DivX codec. However, you can still use it for older versions if you are not willing to update your codec or video player.
