DjVu Printer Pilot Description
DjVu Printer Pilot is a small software application designed to help you accomplish a single task: to convert documents to DJVU file format using straightforward actions.
Works just a like a virtual printer
The utility acts as a virtual printer on your system. After a brief and smooth installation process where you are asked to make DjVu Printer Pilot your default printer, you can access the tool’s features from any program that supports printing.
You need to open the target document using the preferred application and pick DjVu Printer Pilot as your printer.
Configuration settings
DjVu Printer Pilot gives you the possibility to preview the content of your document right in its main panel. The GUI looks clean and intuitive, so you won’t spend too much time tweaking the dedicated parameters.
A thumbnail preview is also implemented in the primary window for all the pages included in a file. You may jump to the desired page by simply clicking on the corresponding thumbnail or using the next and previous buttons.
What’s more, you can go to the first or last page of the document, zoom in or out of the current page, display the real size of the file, and fit the page to the current preview it.
Last but not least, there’s support for several color configuration settings that allow you to choose between several conversion options, namely full, normal or half colors quality. In order to complete the conversion task, you need to select the saving directory and provide the filename.
Bottom line
All in all, DjVu Printer Pilot delivers a simplistic way for turning printable documents into DjVu files. However, it hasn’t benefited from updates for a while so you can make use of its conversion capabilities, especially if you are the owner of an old operating system.
