Doors Firewall Description
There are many threats lurking on the Internet, attempting to infect your computer with viruses and malware. Fortunately, there are many ways in which you can keep your system safe and protected from said infections.
One of them is Doors Firewall. It's a nice application that acts like a personal firewall and blocks trojans and other threats that attempt to infect your computer.
Simplistic but nice graphical interface
The application doesn't take long to install and it doesn't come with a complicated setup that you would need to complete before you can use all of its features. It sports a rather simplistic graphical interface, but it has all features at hand.
You don't need advanced computer skills to use this application, as it automatically starts monitoring your Internet ports and displays alerts whenever a threat tried to infect your system.
Keep your computer safe from threats
It displays a list on the main screen with remote IPs, remote and local ports and the status. It provides you with alerts whenever a remote IP tried to access one of the ports and it even says if there's a suspected Trojan on the port.
You can block the IP, the remote or local port or allow the IP to access your computer. It shows you a log of all activity inside the application, together with a timestamp.
Some settings that you can adjust
You have the option to automatically accept network traffic from certain subnets, but that option isn't really recommended unless you're using a secure network. There's a feature that allows you to get a warning when Doors Firewall is put in the system tray or when the application is enabled.
It comes with three security levels that you can choose from, it's best if you pick the medium one. You also have the option to block specific IPs, remote or local ports.
All in all, Doors Firewall is a nifty application that you could use in order to keep your computer protected and safe from malware.
