Dr Prot Antivirus is a user-friendly piece of software that was developed to assist you in guarding the integrity of your computer, enabling you to prevent virus attacks and other similar dangers from affecting your computer.

Clear-cut and intuitive usage

The application features a simple, tabbed interface, allowing you to move from one section to another with ease, in order to run the operation that you need.
The main window informs you when the last scan was performed and provides you with quick access to its three scanning options ‘Quick’, ‘Smart’ and ‘Custom’.

Analyze your system and determine if there are any threats jeopardizing its safety

The ‘Quick Scan’ enables you to analyze the memory area of your computer, requiring less time to complete than the ‘Smart Scan’, which looks not only at the memory, but also your operating system files and other programs, causing it to take a bit longer to finalize.
The ‘Custom Scan’ option lets you manually select the folder that you want Dr Prot Antivirus to search trough. During the analysis, it displays the number of processed files as well as the number of infected items that it could find and their corresponding threat level. However, during testing, it failed to identify the test file ‘Eicar’ as a threat.
From the ‘Settings’ section, the program enables you to decide the default behavior when an infection is encountered, allowing it to delete or quarantine the file, or simply ignore it. Moreover, from the ‘Schedule Scan’ tab, you can set Dr Prot Antivirus to run regular analyses of your system, daily or at preferred intervals.
