DUTraffic

DUTraffic is a monitoring tool for dial-up connections. It can keep an eye on the exchanged traffic so that users knows at all times the current performance of the connection as well as how close they are to the data cap.
The tool is non-intrusive and immediately after installation it takes its place in the system tray area, monitoring the traffic exchange. Rolling the mouse cursor over the tray icon reveals all the details.
These include information about the speed of the connection, amount of data sent out and received as well as the average overall and per session speed.
A configuration panel allows the user to customize various parts of the application, from the way it starts and the way it looks to the information displayed and the hotkeys it reacts to.
Among the most important features is the one that allows creating a list with programs that should start automatically after an Internet connection has been established. There is the possibility to add start parameters and enable a delay time between the initiation of each of them.
Also important is the section where notifications can be defined. These can be enabled when the duration of a session goes over a specific threshold or when a certain traffic has been reached.
The options included in DUTraffic make it flexible and versatile and it is easy to use, regardless of the computer skills of the user.
