DVD Slim Free Description
DVD Slim Free is an app created for designing and printing CD and DVD covers. Aimed at both rookies and professional users, it doesn't require advanced computer knowledge, thanks to the fact that most of the options are easy to figure out and shown right in the main window.
Extensive support for disc covers
The application supports plenty of cover formats, so you can create projects for standard CD/DVD boxes, mini CD/DVD front and back, VHS, CD/DVD label, Nintendo Wii, Playstation 3, Playstation Portable, Blu-Ray/HD-DVD Slim and many others.
Limited, yet user-friendly features
Unfortunately, the way you can customize the cover is not at all impressive because you can only add a background image and input the front and back titles. You can't insert text or other visual items, so it's all a very basic app.
On the good side, each of the aforementioned cover types can be further customized by changing the dimensions via a dedicated options screen created in this regard.
Another handy thing is the so-called “cover finder†that allows you to search the Internet for specific covers. There are five online databases to search for this purpose, but the user isn't allowed to add new ones or modify the existing entries.
Conclusion
As you can see, DVD Slim Free lacks many important features, so the program is more appropriate for beginners who aren't willing to waste too much time with complex apps. All things considered, this program has the power to convince a handful of users, but those with a bit more experience have no other choice than to look somewhere else.
