Technological advancements have made it possible for a home user to be able to publish their own books without professional help.
One application that can be used in this endeavor is eBook Publisher. The name is a direct hint at the purpose of the tool: a publishing tool for paperless text content. Adding the utility to the system is carried out fast and with no trouble.

Add files to start a new project

When launched, the program presents the user with a blank window, waiting for the creation of a new project or continuing an old one.
eBook Publisher can work with multiple types of documents (ODF, HTML, CSS, SBM, GLS) but it also offers the possibility to paste text in an editor in order to add the content to the currently opened project.
Regardless of the format of the content, it needs to be converted to Open Book Document (ODF), which is basically a text file with HTML and OEB markup code.

Convert and preview content

All supported files added to the program are converted and verified in order to make sure that no glitch threatens the publishing process.
Each document that is part of the project can be previewed. This also shows that the end result is wrapped up in an interface that includes navigation options along with a search function. At the bottom of the window the user can find information about the reading progress.

Outdated ebook publishing tool

eBook Publisher brings to the table sufficient documentation so that less advanced users can complete the projects in an easier way.
However, it is not the most user-friendly ebook publishing tool on the market and there are plenty of rough edges in need of some polishing.
