eclayer is a free Web-operating-platform that extends the power of your computer on the Web. Web sites and applications running in your browser can run faster and deliver better functionality than ever before. Eclayer transforms the users computer into a virtual component of the Web site they are browsing. Web applications using AJAX can directly access the entire range of eclayer services on the users computer just as if the computer was a part of the Web site. With eclayer, Web developers can now have client-side access the entire ImageMagick library, plus the SQLite relational database via their AJAX based Web applications.
