Eject CD Description

Eject CD is a simple command-line utility that has a single purpose. As suggested by the name, this app enables you to eject the currently inserted CD in the tray. It is designed for all users who frequently fiddle with the CD drive.
The most popular applications typically come with a graphical interface that allows users to quickly perform a task, with the help of a well-organized layout and intuitive options.
However, some users still prefer working with simplistic command-line utilities, since they present a very low risk regarding system failures, run swiftly, are not complicated with unnecessary visual elements, and can be accessed from any workstation without any prior installers.
Furthermore, they do not add new entries to the Windows Registry (thus, minimizing the risk of system errors), or leave files behind on the hard disk after removing them.
Eject CD is accessible through a Command Prompt dialog. After going to the file's location on the hard disk, you are required to input a single line to take advantage of its function, namely by typing the file's name, along with the format (EXE). The computer's CD tray is immediately open.
Unfortunately, Eject CD does not work with DVD drives or offer the possibility to choose a particular CD drive if you have multiple ones built in your computer unit. We must also take into account that it has never been updated. However, Eject CD does what it says, quickly and with minimum effort from the user, making it a must-have tool for all individuals who frequently work with the CD tray and prefer command-line utilities.
