Elgin Media Player is a lightweight software application designed specifically for helping you watch movies, listen to songs, and open images.

You are welcomed by a clean design that embeds only a few controls for allowing you to play, stop or pause the current selection, and go to the next or previous item in the list.
Files can be added in the working environment using only the built-in browse button (the drag-and-drop support is not implemented).
There’s no support for a help manual so you need to experiment with the built-in features in order to get an idea of how to work with them.

Elgin Media Player gives you the possibility to adjust the playing speed (fast, normal or slow), make use of preset hotkey for faster actions, adjust the volume or mute the sound, and watch videos in full screen mode.
What’s more, you can view statistics about the bitrate, frame rate and number of skipped frames, zoom in or out of the pictures, show full screen controls, change the color of the video border, and set up plugins.
Tests have shown that Elgin Media Player carries out a task quickly and provides very good output results. It does not eat up a lot of CPU and memory so the overall performance of the computer is not hampered.
