Enable Task Manager Description

Everything running on your computer is also visible in the Task Manager. Most of its operations are only available to administrator accounts so that no harm is done to the operating system. In case a single account is shared you can rely on specialized applications like Enable Task Manager to toggle its functionality.

Advantages of a portable app

On the bright side of things, the application is good to go as soon as the download process is done, because it requires no installation to function. This also means you can carry it on a USB flash drive in case you need to toggle functionality of the Task Manager on other computers without actually affecting registry entries.
The application can perfectly run on modern Windows iterations. However, simply launching it might not have an effect, but running it with administrator privileges solves this, which is an advantage because it prevents regular users from simply running it to enable the Task Manager if it’s locked.

Only works with administrator privileges

A compact window shows up on launch, with a pretty intuitive design and set of functions which speak for themselves. By default, the Task Manager is enabled, and you simply need to uncheck the corresponding option and hit the “Apply” button to cut access to it. Luckily, chances take effect immediately, and no system restart is required.
When locked, the option in the taskbar context menu is grayed out, and it can’t be launched through the Ctrl + Shift + Escape command either. For faster approach, you can access the default Properties panel of its shortcut in order to set up a custom hotkey, and this way the application is easily launched, regardless of your location.

To sum it up

All things considered, we can say that Enable Task Manager is a straightforward application which does exactly what the name states. No extra effort is required since there’s no setup involved, while the functionality of the Task Manager can only be toggled with administrator privileges for extra safety.
