ePubIt Description
ePubIt allows you to create and edit eBooks in EPUB format, mainly by copying and pasting. This is augmented by WYSIWYG text entering and editing. No knowledge of HTML required.Text editing includes: Creating different heading levels. Bold, italic and underlining of text. Creating sections of unformatted text. Creating tables, adding rows and resizing columns. Pasting, sizing and positioning images, including creation of title pages. Creating hyperlinks. Superscripts. Left, right and center text justification. Undo and Redo most edit actions. Searching for text within a chapter or in all chapters. Books consist of one or more chapters. An automatic table of contents is maintained for each book. It consists of entries for each chapter and optionally for heading levels 1 and 2. Chapters can edited, added, deleted, renamed and re-ordered. Many ePub books not created by ePubIt can be edited. However, in some cases this may cause the appearance of a book to change due to unsupported style sheets used. RSS Books. You can create books automatically from RSS feeds. ePubit can create "RSS Definitions" which selects the parts of RSS web pages to include and exclude when a book is created. You can create groups of definitions, each group consisting of Definitions for one or more RSS feeds. You can then easily create a book for each RSS Definition in the group. RSS Definitions are created interactively by highlighting portions of a web page HTML and then choosing to either Include or Exclude the selection. ePubIt maintains a "date last downloaded" for each RSS Definition. This is used to ensure that you only get new books when you create books from that RSS feed.
