ExtractItAll Description
ExtractItAll is a lightweight and portable software application whose purpose is to help you crack password-protected archives. It offers support for 7-Zip, WinRAR and ZIP archives, and only a single decryption method: based on a customizable dictionary.
No setup necessary, besides .NET Framework
As long as you have .NET Framework installed on your PC, you don't need to set up anything else. This means that you can save the app directory anywhere on the HDD and just click the executable to launch the tool.
There is also the possibility to save it to a pen drive or other removable storage device to directly run it on an computer. It doesn't alter the Windows registry configuration.
Simple interface and options
At startup, ExtractItAll creates an icon in the system tray area and gets minimized there on close. The main app window doesn't contain visually striking elements, yet it's simple to navigate.
Archives can be added via drag-and-drop support. You can edit the default dictionary and add new keys for ExtractItAll to try when attempting to decrypt the archives, as well as set the tool to extract archives to a dynamic subdirectory or fixed folder. What's more, you can change the default thread priority.
Evaluation and conclusion
We haven't come across any stability issues in our tests, thanks to the fact that ExtractItAll didn't hang, crash or prompt error dialogs. It didn't put a strain on the overall performance of the computer either.
Although it doesn't integrate rich features and configuration parameters, ExtractItAll can come in handy if you're looking for lost or forgotten passwords to archives by trying out a lot of combinations.
