Ezyware Batch File Renamer Description
As the name of this software suggests, Ezyware Batch File Renamer allows you to rename files in batch mode. It can be seamlessly handled by users of any experience level.
This is a portable software, so installing Ezyware Batch File Renamer it not necessary. It means that you can place the tool on an external device (like a USB flash drive), plug it into any computer and directly run its executable file. What's more important is that your Windows registry keys will remain unchanged.
The interface of the tool is plain and simple to navigate through. So, once you specify the source drive or directory of files, you can set the file renaming pattern and initiate the task by pressing a button.
In the list you can check out the date, source and destination name, along with size of each file. So, you can select a file filter (e.g. MP3, DOC, PNG), replace text, set file attributes (e.g. normal, read-only, hidden), as well as use batch command-lines and a search function (for source filenames or inside every source file).
The simple-to-use program requires a very low amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly applies changes and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. However, we had expected to find more filenaming options available. Plus, the interface is outdated and there is no help file available. We recommend Ezyware Batch File Renamer with reservations.
