Fast Booting

Fast Booting is a simple application from Samsung, whose purpose is to enable the computer to boot faster by changing the power plan currently active on the mobile computer.

Quick, uneventful installation routine

The installation process takes little time to complete and does not require too much effort from the user; there are no special screens to pay attention to and during our testing it did not attempt to push third-party software on the system.
Looks are extremely simple, making available just the options to turn the fast booting feature on or off.
Reducing the boot time comes in very handy, especially while travelling, because the computer becomes ready for work a lot faster.

Simple functionality

According to the documentation of the product, with the fast boot feature turned on, the system changes the power plan to hybrid saving mode when closing the display lid.
This particular mode causes the data currently in use to be saved to the volatile memory of the computer. In case of power failures all the information is automatically transferred to the hard drive.
This way, restoring the system to a functional state is done much faster when opening the display lid.
Working with the application is nothing complicated and it is just a matter of launching the program and enabling or disabling the fast booting function.
The developer draws attention on the fact that some power options cannot be modified with fast booting turned on. On the same note, the function automatically takes over the power saving mode.

Basic power plan changer

Fast Booting is far from being an extraordinary tool as its functionality is limited to changing the power plan of the computer. It does not include other options than turning it on or off.
