FastResolver Description
FastResolver is an easy to use piece of software developed to resolve host names and IP addresses.
Although such a thing may sound like rocket science to rookies, don't image that FastResolver is a very difficult to use app.
The program was actually created to make the whole process as straightforward as possible, so it asks users from the very beginning to input the hosts and the IP addresses they want to resolve.
What's more, FastResolver has an option to resolve an IP address range and even retrieve MAC addresses for each IP.
Once you add a new hostname or IP, FastResolver processes the information automatically, showing all details right in the main window, including IP address, hostname, original name, MAC address and company name.
You can add as many items as you want, but keep in mind that the overall time needed by the program to resolve all IPs also depends on the number of addresses you input. What's more, an Internet connection is obviously needed, so the faster the connection is, the quicker the task is completed.
Additionally, FastResolver gives you the option to generate HTML reports using the displayed information.
The memory and CPU footprint is minimal and FastResolver works smoothly on all Windows versions, without the need for administrator privileges on Windows 7 workstations.
All in all, if you are looking for a quick application to resolve an IP or a hostname, FastResolver is the tool to try. There's no help manual available, but in case you're already familiar with this kind of operation, you shouldn't encounter too many problems.
