File Alert Monitor Description
File Alert Monitor is a lightweight Windows application whose purpose is to help you automatically monitor files for changes, such as creation, updating and deletion of items, from user-defined directories.
Simple looks
You are welcomed by a clean and simplistic layout that hides only a few configuration settings under the hood. You cannot access a help manual but the dedicated parameters are intuitive so you can decode the configuration process on your own.
The program reveals a list with the configured folders directly in the main window and provides information about the file path and status.
Monitoring options
You can make File Alert Monitor automatically keep an eye on multiple folders. In addition, you may edit or delete the directories, and view properties about each folder (size, total number of files and folders, creation date), as well as details about partitions (label, type, file system, used space, free space, and capacity).
Configuration settings
File Alert Monitor is able to look for changes at a custom time interval (in seconds) and monitor the creation of new files and/or updating and removing of existing items.
What’s more, you can make the main panel remain on top of other windows, run the utility at Windows startup, set up alerts (popup notifications, audio files such as WAV and MP3 which can be repeated), monitor all files or only custom file extensions (e.g. WAV, MP3, JPG, BMP), as well as log events to a user-defined file.
Bottom line
All things considered, File Alert Monitor provides a simple and efficient way for helping you get popup and audio notifications in case of file changes at a certain time interval. The intuitive feature pack makes it ideal for rookies and professionals alike.
