File Date Touch

File Date Touch is a software program that you can use to modify the date and time stamp attributes of files in batch mode. It comes packed with a simple-to-use configuration set that can be adjusted by anyone.
There is no setup pack involved, which makes the tool portable. You can drop the executable file in any location on the hard disk and just click it to run.
It is also possible to save File Date Touch to a USB flash disk or other removable device, so you can run it on any workstation with minimum effort and without prior installers.
An important aspect to take into account is that the Windows registry does not get updated with new entries, and the tool does not create additional files on the hard disk, leaving it clean after removal.
The interface is based on a small window with a plain layout, where you can point out a directory or single file using either the folder view or drag-and-drop function.
Filtering the files is possible by specifying a file pattern. In addition, you can include subdirectories and change the creation date as well. Once you establish the new time and date for all selected items, you can apply the new settings with the simple click of a button.
File Date Touch is very responsive to commands and quickly commits the new modifications, while using a very low quantity of CPU and RAM. It does not hog system resources, nor interrupt normal user activity.
No error dialogs were shown in our evaluation, and the utility did not freeze or crash. Although it is not particularly resourceful, File Date Touch provides users with a simple means of changing date and time stamps of any files in batch mode.
