Fireplace is a simplistic program which stores a document with the PPS format on your computer (supported by Microsoft PowerPoint), displaying an animated fireplace on your desktop.
Therefore, you can turn your computer into a romantic setting which you can enjoy with your special someone, even if you live in an apartment that doesn't have a real fireplace.
This is a portable piece of software, so Fireplace does not come with an installation package. In other words, you can store it on a USB flash drive or any other removable device, save it to any computer and directly run its executable file.
What's more important is the fact that the Windows Registry is not updated with new entries, and no leftover items can be found on the hard drive after program removal. In addition, you can always carry Fireplace in your pocket whenever you're on the move.
The document shows the animated fireplace in full screen mode, so you cannot be distracted by other elements or windows on the desktop. The lightweight program is not a concern for the computer's resources as it runs on a very small amount of CPU and system memory. It has a good response time and didn't cause the operating system to freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs during our tests. Unfortunately, Fireplace has not been updated for a very long time.
