FLAC Cutter

As the name of this software implies, FLAC Cutter allows you to trim audio tracks with the FLAC format. The tool can be easily handled by beginners.
The interface of the application is plain and simple to work with. Audio tracks can be imported via the file browser only, because the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch processing is not allowed.
So, you can preview the respective track in a built-in audio player and split it by marking the start and end position.
Once you have a selection, you can save it to disk by specifying an output directory and file name. On top of that, you can adjust the volume, navigate back and forth within the track and play the selection.
The audio processing tool runs on a moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and keeps a good sound quality in the output audio tracks. We haven't come across any issues during our tests, since FLAC Cutter did not freeze, crash or pop up errors.
On the other hand, the interface is outdated and FLAC Cutter failed a couple of tasks during our testing (it seems to have some compatibility issues with Windows 7).  Moreover, you cannot use additional splitting methods (e.g. by custom size or time). We recommend you look for a more advanced software than this tool.
