Flash Toolset provides developers with a rich set of tools designed to assist them in creating their projects. The package comprises software utilities dedicated to file management, code editing and note taking, allowing you to work in a user-friendly environment.
The file browser gets its name from the toolset itself, displaying a simple interface where you can easily navigate throughout folders in your computer. Directories are shown in tree view, enabling you to expand them to access their content in the secondary pane.
Files are displayed in an organized table, alongside their size, type, the date of the last modification and additional attributes. Flash files (SWF, FLA, AS, SWT, EXE, SPL) are highlighted for easier identification and you can see their number of frames, FPS rate, width and height.
You can create new folders, copy and paste items, access their properties, sort icons by various criteria or filter the entire content to only show SWF files. Furthermore, the application enables you to extract resources (images, sounds, clips) from a file (such as a lost FLA file).
The integrated player enables you to preview Flash videos as you go through folders, providing basic playback controls and allowing you to change the frame number using the dedicated slider bar. Other tools allow you to create CD autorun files, convert SWF videos to projector files, export the content to HTML format, unprotect a SWF file or send a video via e-mail.
Flash Toolset also includes an ActionScript editor that goes by the name of ASEditor, which features syntax highlighting, line numbering, word wrapping and code hints to ease the development process.
The FlashNotes application is designed to help you write small descriptions for each frame in your Flash video.
