FlashUnits Description
When technology wasn't as evolved as now, we used to calculate and convert to various measurement units using the pen and paper. Nowadays is much easier to make general and complex operations using the virtual calculator. Plus, the Internet is filled with diverse programs that can help you calculate and transform between different units and use them in your projects and homework without too much effort.
Select and start converting with ease using an approachable layout
FlashUnits is a small yet efficient application created to perform multiple conversions from a system to another and copy the content to another document. It's wrapped in well-structured and intuitive interface divided into common units area and all records panel, along with a basic toolbar that stacks the most accessed commands, like search, settings and calculator.
If other similar tools were used before and you have a UCDF file stored on the hard drive, the app lets you open it. To start, simply select the desired unit from the menu and then pick the secondary element from the drop-down menu. Input the value you want to calculate and hit the convert button.
Transfer the data to another file and export the records to various formats
FlashUnits automatically computes the other corresponding parameters and shows the same values in the all unit window. From there you can easily copy the whole text or just specific fields. The offered measurement units are acceleration, area, speed, force, distance, energy, time and other.
Each item comes with almost all available secondary units, from different countries. From the settings, you can change the interface language, pick the number format, decimal places, scientific notation, along with the overall font type, size and style (e.g. bold, italic, underline). In addition, it's possible to export the database XML, HTML, plain and rich text file formats and open the Windows calculator through the menu icon.
In conclusion
The bottom line is that FlashUnits is a reliable and educational utility that comes in handy especially for high school and college students, but also for those who need a simple yet comprehensive tool to calculate and transform specific values between various measurement units.
