FlipCorner

FlipCorner is a simple-to-use application that can trigger the Flip3D effect in Windows 7 and Vista when moving the mouse cursor to a specific corner of the screen.
This is normally activated by the Win+Tab key combination. It includes a couple of settings that can be seamlessly configured, even by those with no previous experience in such software.

Systray integration

Once launched, the tool creates an icon in the taskbar notifications area and signals its presence through a balloon message. It silently runs in the background to let you carry on with your typical desktop activity without interruptions, while facilitating quick access to its settings.

Configure Flip3D options

The configuration panel is small and has a clear-cut structure. By default, the top-left corner is responsible with activating the Flip3D effect. However, you can enable any combination of the four screen corners.
It's also possible to adjust the reaction area (ranging between 1x1 pixels and 33x33 pixels) and activation delay time (ranging between 0ms and 1000ms), as well as integrate the tool into the system startup sequence, so that it automatically runs every time you boot your computer. Worth noting is that the Flip3D effect doesn't take effect if you're attempting to move the cursor to the corners while this panel is on the screen.

No setup necessary, besides .NET Framework

The entire program's packed in a single .exe file that can be saved anywhere on the disk or copied to a removable storage unit, in order to directly run FlipCorner on any PC.
Just keep in mind that .NET Framework must be installed, since it was developed with the aid of this platform. It doesn't modify system registry settings and your configuration is remembered on exit without creating additional files.

Evaluation and conclusion

The utility worked smoothly in our tests, without causing the operating system to hang, crash or indicate errors. It had minimal impact on the machine's performance, running on a low amount of CPU and RAM to work properly. Thanks to its approachable GUI and options, FlipCorner can be easily customized.
